About Louie
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to highly recommend Louie for admission to your film school. Louie is an extremely dedicated and talented actor, who has demonstrated a strong passion and commitment to the craft.
I had the pleasure of working with Louie on a directing project at the Fisheries Museum, where he played a leading role in directing actors on camera for the National History Museum. Louie's natural talent for acting was evident in his ability to bring the characters to life, and his dedication to the project was truly impressive.
Furthermore, Louie has excelled in a variety of stage productions, including powerful performances as Oswald in Ibsen's Ghosts and Ariel in Martin McDonagh's The Pillowman. For his role in Ghosts, Louie received the award for ‘Outstanding Performance’ and received full marks from SQA. The SQA described Louie's performance as mature and impactful. Louie's versatility as an actor, able to play both classical and modern roles, is a true asset to any program.
In addition to his acting skills, Louie is a fully competent, robust and talented student, with a deep understanding of literature, genres, and different forms of storytelling. He can take direction well and is dedicated to understanding the objective of a character and finding creative ways to bring the playwright's characters to life. Louie is a great team leader and has a great ability to analyse scripts and find the essence and truth of a character. He is also a skilled comedian, with great comedic timing, understanding the nuances of comedy timing when playing roles from D.C Jackson plays.
I believe that Louie would be a valuable addition to your film school community and would thrive in the challenging and stimulating environment of a film program. He is a positive, motivated individual who has a great energy, empathy, and keenness to understand others. His ability to motivate peers to work and his insight when creating characters and conflict in his writing, makes him a great candidate. I strongly encourage you to consider his application.
